Are all players equally developable? Should the lack of development of a

player be 100% attributable to poor coaching?

I mean, the coaches indicated that the week of practice leading up to the Clemson game last, they worked ALL WEEK on not breaking the huddle until there was like 10-12 seconds on the play clock. All week they worked on that. What did HH do the first play of the game? He broke the huddle with like 20+ seconds to go on the play clock. Would you attribute that to the inability of the coaches to coach properly? To teach? To communicate?

Evans went pro. Josh Jackson just wasnt very good. Willis was always a gunslinger and it finally caught up to him. HH didn't develop -- I don't know why. BB is hurt.

I'm not opposed to the notion that our OC and QB coach isn't developing QBs as well as some unnamed QB whisperer that serves as the comparison. Obviously there are coaches who are better at developing QBs than our QB coach. But I also don't like univariate explanations. They don't represent reality. There are ALWAYS multiple factors that explain an outcome. So the whole situation should not be merely chalked up to "bad QB development by the coaches."
