Today the local school system ruled athletes who’ve been charged w/ crime

cannot participate in school athletic events. A local HS football player, having been charged over a week ago with two sexual assaults at a local HS (Olympic), was nonetheless allowed to play in a scheduled game last Friday night while he wore an ankle monitor under his sock.

Today, when nearly all the female HS students there walked out of class and refused to return to school, an emergency session of the board ruled the above. Until today the NCHSL athletics rules allowed students charged with even felonies to go ahead and play anyway.
