I think you are right.......
at least as far as the recruiting goes. I think retention could be another matter with a variety of angles. First, with the exception of Nester I am not sure any other transfer would be deemed a huge loss from a performance perspective. Second, with improved recruiting I think retention becomes a bigger challenge. I believe Wake is in a sweet spot in that they do a good job of evaluating, recruiting and developing and because of the level and type players they get their exposure to the portal is likely less volatile. Things are changing and while transfers are not new, the mindset and the way they are viewed today just adds another wrinkle to recruiting. Now in addition to evaluating talent and ability to develop coaches also have to more closely evaluate mindset(personality and patience) to pay their dues.
