They are already going to be at 16 teams. So if you expand again, you're up to either 18 or 20. (18 doesn't really work for pods because it's not divisible by 4. So you're probably doing two divisions and you have to do 8 games just to play your own division. 20 would be four five-team pods.)

So with Clemson, you're not adding a new media market they already have. Yes, you're getting an elite team with a large fan following, but you already have ten of those. So what are you getting?

Texas and Oklahoma bring you elite teams, but they also bring you two teams with national followings and in a region you don't currently have any teams. You just don't get that with Clemson.
