“Skinner was stellar in goal for the Hokies last week, as she combined to make 22 saves on 25 shots faced against a pair of top-five opponents. She helped Virginia Tech earn its first-ever road point at No. 4 North Carolina last Thursday with a double overtime 2-2 draw. Skinner set a career high with 14 saves made against the Tar Heels - the most by an ACC goalkeeper this season and the most by a Virginia Tech keeper in the last five seasons. She followed that performance with eight saves against second-ranked Duke in a 1-1 draw, headlined by keeping the Blue Devils scoreless for the 31 minutes during which Tech was playing one woman down (red card).”
