A few additional thoughts:

1. Maybe have a small pep band drawn from the Highty Tighties or Marching Virginians. The music adds to basketball games, why not do it for wrestling?
2. The idea of someone with a card announcing the upcoming weight class, isn't crazy. You could have the cheerleaders or HighTechs do it wearing their usual outfits.
3. Recognize local HS wrestlers before or during the match, which could get more HS wrestlers and their friends and family to come to Cassell.
4. Have a student section, like Basketball does with the Cassell Guard. See if a fraternity or other student group is willing to start it.
