Wake- as a program- is what VT *should* be. They have a defined offensive identity, they recruit to that identify, they execute well, they play disciplined football, they keep their guys in the program, and they win with experience and player development. That's the blueprint that VT says it wants, but in year 6, or year 2, or whatever year Whit thinks it is, it is clear that VT is falling short in each of those areas.

I look at Dave Clawson and I see a lot of Mike Young- guys who do it the right way and who can really coach their players up. If VT ever moves on from the current football staff, that's the type of football coach I'd love to see in Blacksburg.
