Agree there is no reason to call this a direct contact
Last year my daughter's swim team shut down with hysterics about a "close contact" and demanded everyone get tested. My daughter had to have tele call with her MD to get the rapid test. The MD started asking questions and became very annoyed. "You are in no way a direct contact. Your team should not be creating this kind of alarm for no reason." There is a lot of this going around. I was able to get the swim team to adjust their procedure to only notify people who were actually a true direct contact. The panic and stress this caused these kids was unnecessary.
Unless the handshake include swapping spit, you are good to go. You still need two things to get covid: viral load and exposure. When I see people walking by me outside in moving air currents where we are within 10 feet of each other for less than 2 seconds and they pull up their masks........seriously.
As for breakthroughs.......my vaxxed daughter got it from another vaxxed person and gave it to her vaxxed roommate.
Edge already has a life insurance policy, though. Only the good die young.
