On an AR 15 by the time you load ammo on strip and then into mag

you could have loaded the mag by hand. I use 30 round mags in mine very easy to load...On a 10 round strip loader you would have to load the strip 3 times... Only time I use any kind of quick loader is when Im loading one of my semi autos that have heavy springs in the mags
