I do not believe we will ever be where we need to be as a program under Fuente. However, before all of his defenders come at me, I do believe we need to see what happens this season. Maybe my opinion will not be so unpopular after all.

I think about it this way. What if Nick Saban took over when Beamer left. Before you jump on me and say how unrealistic that is, remember I am only speculating. Do you think we would be where we are now? Just an imaginative speculation. I know that would never happen but my point is that coaching is involved in this more than you realize.

Fuente makes 2m. That seems like a lot of money for a mediocre coach, at best. I hope he proves me wrong.

Has anyone been to Clemson? They are also a football field in a field like Lane. They do have more football tradition than us from a national perspective but they are also a school in a country town like us. The excuses for our location have to be thrown out. And we do have tradition at Tech. Players play for coaches they connect with and for coaches that can help prepare them for the NFL.
