There’s a thing called an “interim coach”. USC named one.

I’m sure the “search” is already underway - and not only will the list of coaches willing to go to USC be long, but they are now in solid position to work on the guy(s) they want.

The only question with USC is whether they’ll pick the guy. Their recent track record is puzzling.
