FWIW, I generally have still rooted against you all this time

My wife is from Oregon and we met in 2006 after the series ended. So when she hears me rooting against the Hokies, the conversation goes about like:

Wife: "Why do you care what happens to Virginia Tech?"

Me: "Well, they're our rivals."

Wife: "They're not your rivals! You don't even play anymore! Move on, it's over!"

Me: "We'll decide when it's over!"

I continue to insist that I am correct on this particular matter.
