'Browse' and select ACCNX. It won't prompt you for a subscription...

It just says "your event hasn't started yet". If you select our game by scrolling though the upcoming games on the main page of the app, it will make you purchase a subscription to ESPN+. Weird, but as others have said, finding our game through the actual channel itself (ACCN/ACCNX) seems to be the way to go.
