Not intentional grounding. This was accidental

It’s intentional grounding if a QB deliberately/intentionally throws the ball away to avoid a sack or to save time, hasn't gotten outside the pocket, and doesn't throw the ball past the line of scrimmage.

However if a QB unintentionally screws up a pass and he’s in the pocket and it doesn’t get to the LOS then it’s just incomplete. Obviously this interpretation relies on the ref to assess intent. But in this case it looked unintentional to me and to the refs too.

If that was a pass, how was it not grounding? -- TheNuke 09/05/2021 11:46PM
  Same way a blocked pass isn't grounding. ** -- 83hokieee 09/06/2021 09:01AM
