Perhaps, but I strongly suspect both of those offenses were not clicking...


I'll say this right now, VT's offense looked decent, not great, and I think its better than Clemson's right now.

Clemson's QB particularly did not look ready for prime time, and their OL was struggled big time. Receivers couldn't even get open, and made mistakes.

Likewise, I don't care how good Clemson's defense is, you don't hold a top 5 GA offense to 3 points unless....well, they aren't all that. Well balanced games between great O's and D's generally have scores in the 20's.

Could also be first game issues, but score would suggest those offenses were not clicking.
