That play is exactly the purpose of the rule. Dude came in like a missile and could have lowered the hit by a foot or so. The targeting rule is supposed to force guys into the mindset to make that adjustment before contact. Sometimes the rule is unfair to a defender but not there. That was blatant. Me thinks OSU got the benefit of the doubt cause they're OSU. Watch a VT player do half of that tonight and see what happens
