One thing about Cobra no one has mentioned


Is you can back pay IF you need the insurance… or it used to be like that. In other words, if you start the gap for the month of October, you can go back at any point and pay for the insurance to get coverage. If you do not need it you would just pick up you new insurance in November and never have to pay for the coverage if there is no reason for medical service.

Been a while since I dealt with those details so I would obviously suggest research, but pretty sure that is still the case.
