Ours was very involved and had to be.


All the landscaping and home exteriors were managed by the HOA. The only reason I “joined” the board was due to an emergency situation where the previous board all resigned and left the HOA financially tanked. A handful of folks had to step in. Served for 1.5 terms and that was enough for me. When we purchased our current home, I said to my wife “no HOAs”, she agreed because once was enough.
