Too many with no care for the life of others, and it's getting worse.


It's like there are a lot of people that don't see other people as individuated real people. They see others as objects that aren't real life. And there are seemingly more and more of them everyday. They're people that are becoming more animal like every day. More and more are losing their humanity.

The story of Nebuchadnezzar is illustrative. When he let himself get "farther from God" in his mindset, he lost his humanity and became more beast like. When he recovered the presence of mind to restore his mindset "closer to God", he regained his humanity. I think we're seeing similar on the news with all these people "acting out" (I hate that term - it's a rationalization that doesn't really excuse dysfunctional behavior but we accept it as such) in these manners. People are losing their humanity in their core persona's and becoming like beasts towards each other.
