Miami too - why not Miami v. USC-W every year? Viewers need a connection to a region in order to watch. I'll watch UVa-UNC over Alabama-Texas A&M. That may not be everybody's view but I'm sure it's not unusual.

There is an opportunity to unseat the SEC as the dominant TV presence. It's going to require a de facto boycott of SEC scheduling. It's also going to require layoffs - Wake, Syracuse, and BC, I'm looking at you. Duke too. Forget about basketball and academics. Nobody watches those four schools' football and that's all that matters - we're better off dropping all four and adding WVU.

Our mistake in 2012 is that we did not see ten years down the road. We need to look down that road now. It's not rational to see any of the non-entities like Wake as part of a real football bloc in 2031, so cut them loose now, and plan for that future.
