Hey guys, wanted to reach out and keep everyone posted on how Bryce is doing out here in Russia. We had some pretty difficult travel and ended up out here a day later then we were supposed to, but Bryce has met the challenge and excelled in acclimating himself the last two days. We just had our last mat workout today Sunday 8/15, and his weight is great and he is ready to rock! We will do one last weight cut tonight, with weigh-ins being in the morning and his first round being at 11am Ufa, Russia time, 2am EST Monday morning.
Ufa has been great so far, our hotel couldn't be much better, and the city is clean and easily navigable, and Bryce and I have been able to do a little bit of sightseeing, although saving most of that for after the tournament!! He will most likely have 2 match tomorrow morning, with the Semis being Monday evening, and the medal matches on Tuesday. Thanks to all of you for keeping tabs on us and the team as we appreciate the support and will keep you updated as much as possible! Ethan and I will try and stay on top of the SERTC Instagram and Twitter accounts, as we go. I have thrown a couple photos from the trip up on the IG Stories and will continue to do so. Draws come out this evening, and I will jump back on here once the tourney is complete. Once again I am so grateful to be here and be a part of Hokie Wrestling, Bryce is ready, and ya'lls support means the world to him. Talk soon.
