Looks like nothing doing between Pac12 and B1G

“Lights continue to dim on prospect of Big Ten expanding anytime soon. Valuation did not come back in favor of expanding with PAC schools in numbers needed (4-6) to make it work logistically for current PAC schools and financially for current Big Ten schools at this time.”

I don't know the details, but I think they looked at the four California schools, and then plus UO and UW.

If true, I think this is good news for the ACC. I think the Pac12 is on par with the ACC right now, and if the B1G would have swallowed up the prime Pac12 real estate and programs, it would have just numbered our days. It would be difficult to exist with a overwhelmingly dominant B1G and SEC. It also leaves the door open for the ACC to work something with ND and USC like we've discussed earlier.

Will be interesting to see if the Pac12 makes a go of it if they do anything with the BigXII-8. Also, will the ACC make a move on the BigXII-8 schools? I also think if nothing happens between the B1G and the Pac that this is good news for the BigXII-8 as well--means the ACC and Pac might pick up some or all of them. Otherwise, the Pac would vanish and the ACC would be a lame duck.
