Make no mistake.


I have despised the Big Ten with a white hot passion since the mid-Sixties.

I hated Bo, I hated Woody. I didn't like the Spartans.

I grew up in Pennsylvania despising Joe Paterno and Penn State (both before and after it joined the Big Ten).

I would like ND to never play Purdue again, in any sport.

I hate everything about the Skunkbears, I didn't even want ND to resume playing them in 1978.

Every move that ND has made since 1991 has been designed to avoid the clutches of the Big Ten.

I just think that if two super conferences are inevitable, ND will join one of them.

If not the Big Ten, then the SEC it is. I would love ND to give the ultimate finger to the Big Ten.

My only point has been that if the conferences force ND to surrender its independence, then it should be to a super conference only and ND should make that entity pay the most for it.
