I have the Genesis II E-315 - no smart technology, but it's great

it was a gift, and I probably wouldn't have spent my own money, but now I can't imagine going back to a non-Weber.
Seems a little less expensive than the s-345 mentioned below. Perhaps b/c it doesn't have a side burner? I never used that feature on other grills. Propane tank also on the side.
It does have "smart capability" if I choose to add the device, but I haven't done it. It doesn't seem worth it for what I do. The digital thermometer has been fine for my basic suburban dad needs.
I like that it's so well-built, and warms up quickly and retains heat. It cooks evenly.
I put this one together myself, which wasn't terrible, but did take a few hours. Maybe that helped me bond with it right out of the box...
I used to have a $300-$400 CharBroil grill that seemed adequate, but I think the Weber is worth the difference, especially if you plan on using it on a regular basis.
