There's a back story on my digs too

I had them on my honeymoon in 1978 at a honeymoon resort. There was a pool competition one day where the groom had to swim a couple of laps with a large balloon. I was drooling at that opportunity knowing that I was a good swimmer and could go backstroke while holding the balloon in my mouth. Well I smoked the competition and then...

Failure. The last part of the competition was to sit on the balloon and burst it. Between those Birdwells and my shortsightedness, the balloon may as well have been a large ball of soap.
