And therein lies the problem. It turns out we were not 2 ships passing in


the night, as you wrote after the game at FedEx. Rather, both teams are struggling and playing poorly. Indeed, the fact that we will not be favored to be a mid-to-low tier Big 12 team doesn't bode well for this program in the short term, or the medium term. Indeed, in the longer short term, our recruiting will come back to haunt us, IMO, and we will fall further behind.

What a disaster, and going back to the question last December: why keep Fuente if you know he is so unlikely to succeed? You are just prolonging the inevitable and it can't be worth a few million dollars.

This season isn't looking up at all!
