I think they would do OK if they just resurrected their truck from the 90's

Like, no redesign or updates at all. Just dig up all the old drawings and build the same truck.

They were simple, effective, and built to last.

We bought one new in 1997. It needs a new clutch now, but otherwise still runs fine.
