Thanks to a particularly adventurous buddy

Back in the late 90s he and a bunch of friends were making good money and living the single life so every summer they would travel somewhere. I was married with two kids so I usually watched from afar. One year they planned a trip where they'd fly into Anchorage, rent SUVs, and drive through Alaska to Dawson City, Yukon, and then up the Dempster Highway in the Northwest Territories to the Arctic Ocean (well, Inuvik, the closest you can get in the summer by car). I decided I couldn't pass up the opportunity and went with them, and Wrangell-St. Elias was on the way so we hit it.
