Upon further inspection


It was the belt that drives the two hydraulic motors. Grinding was the belt still getting some power but it is a belt with teeth that were scraping against other parts.
Whew. Glad it isn’t the hydraulic motors. I guess one clue was both motors stopped working as opposed to one side.
Thanks for your thoughts. I almost added @typed by ben as you are a great resource for mechanical/engineering matters.
