Did you know that to "table" something means the opposite in the US?


In the rest of the world, it means to bring it up for discussion. In the US, it means to park it for discussion later.

We got an expat Brit VP here a year ago who used "table" to mean to delay, and it confused the heck out of all of us for a month or so.
