I agree that it’s not as interesting as freestyle. It’s nowhere near as popular in the US as it is worldwide which is why it won’t be removed. Folkstyle and freestyle lend themselves to one another and the increased action makes it more popular here. Worldwide you’re looking at most European countries and former soviet republics that find Greco as more of an access to higher level wrestling due to the just complete and utter depth that those countries have in freestyle or just a nonexistent freestyle program.
