I have seen an ACC-SEC merger proposal floated. Here’s how I see that shaking out.
From the current SEC + Texas, Oklahoma
Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi St, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma.
They would boot South Carolina, only relevant under Spurrier, Arkansas, which hasn’t been relevant since the days of the old Southwest conf and Frank Broyles, and Vanderbilt, which hasn’t been relevant ever.
From the ACC.
They would take in Miami, UNC, Clemson, FSU, and Va Tech.
No disrespect, but they’re not taking UVa as their Virginia representative. Tech would probably like to return the favor to UVa, but would be outvoted, Of the remainder of the ACC, Ga will not want Ga Tech. Clemson will not want USC. Ky will not want Louisville. UNC will not want NCSU. and nobody wants Pitt, Syracuse, Duke, Wake, or BC
