The B1G should look to corner the market on AAU schools. And break away.

There are 36 schools.
5 are in the SEC (including Texas).
5 are in the ACC.
9 in the Pac12.
2 in the BigXII
2 in G5 (Rice and Tulane)
The rest in the B1G (minus Nebraska)

With just the B1G and the PAC united, they could maintain something similar to the two original conferences. Meet in the Rose Bowl. Just to get things started. That would give them 4 of the 5 top TV markets. None of which the SEC would be in. They could also agree NOT to play OOC games. This would junk that CFP and regionalize and isolate the SEC. After that, if the SEC/ESPN wanted to come to them to play a +1 Championship game, then great. But it would give the B1G control over matters on their "side" of college football.
