Question for any Vets out there...

I am trying to find out if I can save money on prescriptions by using my vet status. Specifically, I want to avoid paying almost $500/month for Eliquis. Do Vets have to pay for the new drugs at the same rate as the general population?

I have never used VA but I have been working on establishing health care with VA. I have just registered with MyHealthevet.com and I ran into a problem. As soon as I registered, I was told that I need to register for the Premium status. It is a dead end from there. I briefly waited on the phone for help but it would be a really long wait.
