That is my understanding as well,

What I was proposing is that unless and until Texas and Oklahoma pay up and agree to an exit, everyone has to honor their contracts, including ESPN. This means dragging it out is in the remaining 8's best interest. Even if the remaining 8 grab two new teams before Texas and Oklahoma leave, ESPN can re-write that contract for a lot less and would. I expect this to be nasty in court.
