Yep, it’s about who will add profit to ESPN, they have been hurting $ wise

They were laying off before the Covid Financial Crisis. Now they are even more desperate financially. Football is where the money is at, they take enough ACC football schools to end the GOR, if that’s possible.

The only game changer for the ACC is Notre Dame full in football. I personally don’t think Notre Dame cares enough about the ACC to do that. Too many old big donors will stop giving money. Same reason UNC and Duke didn’t want expansion of the ACC in 2003. They only voted for it when it was inevitable.
