has introduced a bill calling for the state to approve all conference school affiliations. The governor has been approached to stop UT &OU from leaving by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce who makes the argument that local businesses will suffer because of the perceived drop in attendance at sporting events due to the decline in conference status. I hope we don’t end up in a similar situation in the coming months.
