This particular politician is getting a lot of blowback

While texas leaving would be bad for Baylor, it leaves the possibility of upward mobility for other texas schools like Houston, SMU, etc. And it seems those that got left behind when the Big 12 was formed (due to in no small part to Baylor’s politicking) will not be content to sit back and let them do it again this time.
