We are going to have a big class this year so I think it's likely
we end up in the mid to upper 20s. It looks like we're done at QB, though we might add a preferred walk on next year. And the portal is always a possibility. I don't think we have enough quality depth there. Hokietom mentioned the three highest rated players we have a decent shot at getting, but we are still recruiting a large number of additional players.
My guess is there is going to be a lot of movement in the player rankings because the recruiting services haven't seen much of a lot of players due to Covid. But I think we've added a lot of talent on both lines of scrimmage and we're not done on either side of the ball yet. Cam Miller and Cam Johnson are both highly regarded DBs and it would be great to get one of them. It's also nice to get one of the top rated running backs from Virginia. I was optimistic about our recruiting in June and feel even better about it now.
It seems to me there is a lot of optimism coming out of our players and coaches that is translating into our recruiting. I also think we just have a better, more energetic group of recruiters than we've had in the past. We have a tough schedule this year, but I'm increasingly hopeful we're going to have a solid season. It sounds odd to say it, but the Coastal is going to be tough this year.
