The Open has not diminished Hokies getting starts this week, with 5 teeing it up this week.

The opposite field event to the Open is the Barbasol Championship at the Keene Trace Golf Club, Nicholasville, KY. Both Johnson Wagner and Brenden de Jonge are both in the field and are in the same group for the first two days. Wagner has a 31st and 79th in his two visits and de Jonge missed the cut in his two visits. The last cut on the PGA for de Jonge was in November 2018.

Trevor Cone and Drew Weaver are both at the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS at the Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, IL. Weaver has made all three cuts at Panther Creek with all of the finishes between 20-35. Cone missed the cut at this event last year.

Amanda Hollandsworth is at the Symetra Tour's Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic at the Brook Lea Country Club in Rochester, New York. She has yet to make a cut this year. This is a rare 72 hole event for the Symetra.
