To me, $300 would be the sweet spot


$100 or less I would probably just spend on groceries and forget I even got it very quickly.

$1000 I would be far more likely to invest than do anything fun with.

But $300 is more than I would blow without thinking about it, but not so much that I would feel compelled to save it. That is an amount I would do or buy something fun, which is probably the point of a bonus anyway.
