I recently broke down and bought a Ryobi 1600 psi for 99 bucks.

Never had one, and needed to clean the deck. This deck was old and had never been sealed, but with lumber costs, I was determined to bring it back to life. That Ryobi did just fine. One thing you need to keep in mind is, too much power can be a bad thing. Anything stronger will tear up the grain and splinter the wood.

If it never works again, I'm happy, and will feel ahead of the game. But it should last, and will be safe on cars, boats, siding, and even windows, if used properly. And no stupid gas to deal with. You should spray a special lubricant (forgot actual name) into the empty pump before storing, though, which I did.
