Having seen both teams...
I would have a hard time picking between them. The Buzz team, I think, played with more intensity and a bit more cohesively. I love Charlie Moir, but I think Buzz was a better in-game coach. And it's hard to argue with the fact that the Buzz team came within seconds of an Elite 8 appearance, while the Hurryin' Hokies underachieved in both NCAA tourney appearances they made.
On the other hand, the Buzz team was basically 4 guards and a PF. I think Beecher, Colbert, and P. Young would have destroyed the Buzz team on the glass, not to mention Roy Brow coming off the bench. Dell was a better shooter than anyone Buzz ever coached, also a very underrated passer and rebounder, and with the 3 point line, watch out. And Al Young was not the offensive threat that 5 presented, but was just as relentless leading the break and possibly a slightly better defender.
My best guess is that if those teams played each other 3 times, the Buzz group probably takes 2 of 3. But in a game where each team played to its absolute peak ability, I'd take the Dell team.
