Fall bloomers are called sasanqua, late winter/early spring are camellia.,


Sasanqua do better in direct sun, camellias like the shade. Sasanqua have smaller, variegated leaves and smaller blooms. If you have sasanqua blooming in the early fall you can expect a lot of yellow jackets.
