Yep - Jay Wright was way ahead of the curve IMHO ...


I am sure there were others but he seemed to be one of the first coaches in the highest tier of MBB to essentially play 'position-less' basketball. He put multiple wings who could shoot the lights out on the floor at the same time and created mismatches all over the floor. They were also long and versatile defensively so they were troublesome on both ends of the floor.

I may be crediting him with something that wasn't his idea but he certainly did it better than most earlier than most and now most programs seem to be moving in that direction.
