Heard a fascinating term today describing day length before electricity


was prevalent in this area. Likely not just here.

Time was kept between “can see” (dawn) and “can’t see” (nightfall). Don’t know if this is rural and/or Southern in origin, but as long as I’ve lived in the South - by choice, not chance - I’d never heard that previously.

Anyway, days went from can see to can’t see.
