That’s the way I interpret it…


I was in the co-op engineering program … worked 3 months and classes 3 months … I was taxed.

If the Supreme Court said that the NCAA was constraining their compensation due to their monopoly, it infers that they are being compensated at an unfair level due to the monopoly.

Their scholarships and other compensations are given under the rules of the NCAA to bring in money to both the colleges and the NCAA and therefore are different from an academic scholarship.

It is compensation for work done (playing football to bring in money) just as the coaches are paid for work done.

That compensation and any additional revenue they now can bring in should be taxable, IMHO. 🤔
