At a minimum, I don't see many employers throwing away the pre-screening

drug test. So even if legal, people need to figure out a way to stay clean for a few weeks if they are job hunting.

And everywhere I've worked has had the policy if you are involved in a workplace injury, you are immediately sent for a drug test (and fired on the spot if you fail).

So yeah, it may be legal. But you are taking some career risks if you choose to partake.
