I like my job and the work I do but we were recently sold and bought

for 30 years we hung our own shingle, I was there for the last 12, and it was exciting because we were our own masters so to speak. Then the original owner was ready to retire so he sold the company, thankfully to a company that wanted to keep us and dip their toes in the pond we were established in. Now I just have mandates coming down from the corporate office and attempts to make all our efforts fit in their prelabeled and presized containers. It's almost like that is the new job, simply being compliant, instead of being creative.
