I am fine with how the first two rounds are run. I just don't like the last round. They cram too many games into such a small time period. It was not too many years ago, I think it was Florida, had to bring in their 4th pitcher in the championship game. I don't think she had pitched any meaningful games all year ( I am 100% going off the top of my head, but I think I am pretty close) That should just not happen. There should be some rest for the girls between games. That is just a brutal schedule for pitchers.

With that said, the tournament should not be spread so far out that a team with one pitcher (JMU or even us this year if we had made it) could pitch one pitcher every game. That is not really finding the best team. That is finding a good team with the best pitcher. I don't want that.

I am trying to think of any other sport where the championship series has so many exhausted stars. Maybe the ACC basketball tournament if you are not a high seed? But that is a league championship, not a national championship.
